Jewelmint Purchase!

So I recently decided to pick up a piece from Jewelmint because I kept hearing about if from everyone. Basically a lot of youtubers, and bloggers were raving about how amazing their pieces were, so I had to pick up a piece! The good thing is that there are codes sometimes that you can use. I used MAV5 to give me 50% off my first piece. I should have bought something earlier when they had their BOGO Free promo, but I didn't know about that until afterwards.

I have to admit the packaging is very cute! I love the whole blue green box, with black bow.
A little more about the necklace itself:
 And the necklace:
I wanted to show you guys how the necklace looks like with flash, because it's so freaking pretty! And the nuggests are different sizes as well. Which is really pretty!
Here is my video showing you guys the necklace:

I know I said I was going to do an outfit of the day with the DIY skirt I made, but last weekend was kind of insane. I will try to do the OOTD as soon as I get a chance. Possibly this week, or maybe this weekend! And I will be featuring this necklace as soon as I get a chance.

Whitening Products Set back

So basically this is what happened: I went to the fair on Friday, so my nose got burnt, and then I went to the beach on Sunday so I got even more tanned. But I'm back on the bandwagon of whitening. I'm hoping to get down to an NC30 by the end of summer. Let's hope that I can get down to that color. As of right now, I think I'm back to NC40, because of my stupidity of not putting on SPF.

So let's do a review of my SPF sunscreen Spray! So I picked this up in May when I went hiking with my friend. I had only used it that one time when we went hiking, and then I used it again when I went to the beach. I did not put sunscreen on my face, because I don't want my face to feel disgusting and sticky. But I did put the spray on my arms, legs, and back. I believe this sunscreen cost a little less than $7 at a grocery store. I'm not crazy about putting sunscreen anywhere on myself, since I usually don't leave my car, or my house that much anyway. I'm usually in a room, or my car, so I don't see the point of going outside as much.

Topcare Sunscreen:
Ingredients, ETC:

Unfortunately for me, this weekend was brutal, seeing as how I was in the sun on Friday for 6 hours continually. And then on Sunday I was in the sun for 4 hours. I actually found out that in my car, I had been carrying my sunscreen that is in lotion formula. I think I'm going to use that more often now. Most of my makeup has SPF in it anyway, so I think that's a good sign that at least when I wear makeup, I don't have to worry about applying a layer of sunscreen beneath, or above.

I'm not sure if I would purchase this sunscreen again, because my friend had trouble applying it on herself and myself, she kept pressing down on it, and I told her that she had to press at the very back, but she kept putting her finger near the front. At least when applied it has a cooling affect.

Whitening Products

So in case anyone was wondering, I want to get lighter before I get darker this summer! The reason being is because I always found the sun unbearable in Southern California during the summer. Not saying that I don't like the sunny weather. I just don't like being so tanned up.

So to make this post quick and short, I'm going to introduce you to some of the whitening products I have been using for the last couple of months or so.

From left to right: Softymo super white cleanser. Kose moisture mild white cream, Skinfood tomato whitening cream, and Paul & Joe whitening serum.
The Softymo super white cleanser I just got this week from Jessica. She gave it to me to try it out, since she said that it makes her husband's skin get very white. I've been trying it out, and my face does look slightly lighter. Not sure if it is because of this, or maybe a combination of the products I have been using.

This cleanser is very very creamy. It has a very rich formula, and it doesn't foam up. So if you don't like that, this might not be for you. But as far as I use it, I usually use this cleanser first, and then I will top it off with my other cleanser. I switch it up from morning to night. In the morning, I usually use my Clean & Clear cleaner, and at night I use my bareminerals cleanser.
The next 2 items are creams (I'm sorry about the darkness of the pictures. I didn't want the flash to go off, it would have made my pictures really really bright).

The Skinfood cream I've hit pan on, so there is no more of this cream anymore. As far as I can tell, this cream smells very very good. It does not smell like tomatoes at all. It has a water like consistence, but it's nice nevertheless. I found out the hard way that you should not apply this cream right after you get out of the shower, if you do, this cream will peel on your skin. It will start to shred.

The other one, the Kose white cream, is pretty good as well. It is slightly thicker and the smell is decent. I've had this bottle for the last 2 years, and I'm finally finishing up on this! I'm super excited to be finishing up on this product. This product has whitened my skin, but very little. It might be because I'm more tanned. I think if you were lighter, than maybe this product would work better for you.
The last product I have is from Apothica.com. I actually received a gift certificate from Apothica.com, and I decided to spend it on the Paul & Joe Whitening Serum.

The bottle is very pretty no? I think it's very elegant. Now for the interesting parts: The serum has a particular scent to it. Some might not like it. Honestly? It smells like orange cleaner to me. But that doesn't make it bad for me. I actually really like oranges. I just got this in this week, so I've been trying it out for the last five days. Now like I said before for the cleanser, I'm not sure if I'm getting lighter from this or from the cleanser. I'm going to keep using this product, and I will keep you guys updated, with my new whitening routine.

BornPrettyStore Blush!

Hey everyone! I know it's been a long time since my last official post, and I've been really busy since the last time I wrote on here, since March? Anyway, I just want to let everyone know, that I do have a lot of good news, and some bad news.

Bad news first, so I haven't been buying that much makeup lately. I just kind of stopped, because my makeup collection is already huge as it is, and I don't feel the need to purchase a ton of makeup anymore.

The good news? Well I've been buying more clothes lately, and I've been taking a lot of pictures with my new Panasonic Lumix GF-2. I recently bought the new camera, because my small sony point and shoot, had a little bit of water damage. It didn't affect the way the pictures were taken, but the screen, was bubbly. So I decided to splurge and get myself a new camera.

So let's get started shall we? So the first thing I want to talk to everyone about is bornprettystore.com! They sell a lot of nail art items, as well as makeup! I've done a review about them before, and I loved their products a lot, so I decided to do a post as opposed to the video I did last time for them.

I got a blush, and it's a pretty orange pink toned blush! This blush is in #016.
I love that they put the expiration date on their products, so you can see when you need to throw your cosmetics away.
 The blush is Korean.
 The ingredients in the blush.
What it looks like when swatched.
Look at how bright this blush is, it turned my brush into a bright orange color!

I love this blush! This is my first orange toned blush, and it looks amazing. Just a fair warning, when applying really bright blushes, you should always use a light hand, and then build up the intensity slowly.

So that's it for my quick review of this amazing blush. I'm probably going to be doing a look with this blush soon, so stayed tuned for that!

FTC: Product was sent to me for review purposes by a PR representative of the company.  All reviews are based on my honest opinion.  I was not paid to do this post nor am I affiliated with the company.

CCO Haul!

Hi everyone! So this past weekend, I went to the CCO to check out some MAC eyeshadows, because I only have a couple of them, and I really wanted some more! So here are some pictures of what I picked up:
 Cut to fit.
 Night manoeuves.
 Meet the Fleet.
Sorcery
and Chamomile. (Not sure what happened to the lighting in this picture.)
And I also picked up a pigment in Universal Mix. I don't understand why this pigment gets such a bad rap on MUA. I really loved the color! I think it's perfect for highlighting, and for the inner corner of your eyes.

Here are the swatches from left to right: Cut to fit, Night Manoeuvres, Meet the fleet, Sorcery, Chamomile, and universal mix.
This is me trying to get a better picture of universal mix. Haha, fail!
And this week, I got my package from Kathy! I bought the MAC venomous villains mineralized eyeshadows from her! Thanks for the MAC eyeshadows Kathy! And thanks for the extras! I will be sending you something real soon! :)
Left to right: She who dares, my dark magic.
Look how big these eyeshadows are compared to regular mineralized eyeshadows! Left to right: She who dares, Gilt by Association.
This is how they look when swatched.
I decided that I wouldn't spend any more money on makeup until IMATS. This will help me save up money for buying makeup at IMATS. I've always wanted to try the OCC lip tars, so this year, I'm going to go to IMATS, and purchase a lot of makeup! Haha. Anyone wants to try this makeup ban with me? :)

CSN review coming soon!

Hi everyone! So today I'm going to talk to you guys about a great company! This company is called CSN stores! The great thing about this store, is that they have great products that are helpful, or you can get for your relatives, and friends for Christmas!

CSN is comprised of over 200 websites, including everything from luggage stores to furniture and fashion. I've been eyeing a duffle bag for a while for myself! When I go on short trips, for the weekend, I think it would be great to get a small duffel bag, so I can pack light!
Another item I am really loving from CSN stores, is their kitchen appliances that they carry! I've recently been craving shaved ice all the time, and I found an awesome snow cone machine that is fairly cheap and excellent to put in the corner of the kitchen!
Another item I am really loving is their jewelry boxes! They have this really cute jewelry box, that I am in love with! It's small enough to put on my night stand, and cute!
Anyway, so that is my two cents on CSN stores! Watch out, because I'm going to be reviewing something from them very soon!

Check out CSN stores! :)

This is not a paid post, even though I am going to be compensated to do a product review for csnstores.com later on.

Sigma Brushes!

Hi everyone! So I'm back! I thought that I would have to be away longer due to my laptop being broken, but it seems alright now. Haha.

Anyway, so recently I got some Sigma brushes, and I have to say they are amazing! I love all of them! I'm pretty sure there are tons of reviews out there for these brushes, but it's true they are amazing brushes, and the reason being is because they are super comparable to MAC brushes. I don't have any of the full sized MAC brushes, but I have a travel set, and they are not that great at all. Anyway, so onto the pictures:

The brushes came in this pink brush roll.
And I got 13 brushes in total.

The first brush is going to be the large powder brush. This brush is great for applying powder. I've used this brush to apply powder onto my face. I think this brush is too big to apply blush. And when I washed this brush I did notice some bleeding, but not much. And like a lot of big brushes it will shed but I didn't notice a lot of shedding.
The next brush is the Duo Fiber brush. Now, I don't know about you guys, but you can tell this is probably my least favorite brush, because this brush sheds a lot! Like A LOT! It's kind of annoying, and scary. I think the reason is because the glue is coming apart from the hairs. I don't know, but you can kind of tell that the brush hairs are not even.
The next brush is the angled brush. I love this brush! this brush is great for contour and for applying blush! This is one of my favorite brushes from this set. I just kind of wish the hairs weren't so scattered.
The next brush is the foundation brush. Now already I can tell that this foundation brush is way softer than my ELF foundation brush, and the bristles don't scratch my face, when I use this brush.
This is the large concealer brush. I love this big concealer brush because it's pretty big, so it can get more with one swipe than with a smaller brush.
This was the whole reason I wanted this brush set! For this tapered blending brush! MAC has this exact same brush, and it costs a whole lot more, so when I saw that Sigma had a great dupe, I really wanted to check it out! And this brush lives up to it's reputation!
This one is the angled eyeshadow brush. This brush is great for applying color onto your crease!
Next up I have a flat shader brush. This is like any other flat shader brush I own. Honestly, it's nothing special, but I think the hairs on this one is way softer than my MAC travel sized 239SE.
The next one, is going to be a smaller concealer brush. This one is great for gettting the edges of your lips, and for precise under eye concealer.
Next up, I have a pencil brush. I have the MAC one of this one as well, and honestly, the MAC one is way stiffer than the Sigma one.
Next I have the angled brush. I love this angled brush because it's smaller and not as wide as my other angled brushes, and when applying eyeliner with this brush it glides on smoothly! I also use this brush for my eyebrows.
The next one is the official eyeliner brush. I don't use this brush for eyeliner though, because the brush above, the angled brush, is the one I use for eyeliner. I use this one for lips.
The last brush I have here is the small sized tapered blending brush. I think this brush is great for travel because it's way smaller than my other brushes!
And that's basically a quick review of the Sigma brushes!

And I'm too lazy right now to edit and upload the video for the Sigma brushes, so maybe you guys will have to wait until next week to see it.

So around 2 weeks ago, my friend and I went to the Hello Kitty bus that stopped off in Tustin! There was a huge line. It was kind of annoying standing in line all day long, and then afterwards getting one small item! But it was fun and it was interesting to see all the different people there and the way that they displayed how they love Hello Kitty!

The official hello kitty bus! It was super cute and decked out! I kind of wished it wasn't so gloomy that day.
They had 2 trucks and they were decked out in hello kitty!
Was trying to take a picture of the small car, but people got in my way!
Don't forget to enter my giveaway! :)
