Whitening Products Set back

So basically this is what happened: I went to the fair on Friday, so my nose got burnt, and then I went to the beach on Sunday so I got even more tanned. But I'm back on the bandwagon of whitening. I'm hoping to get down to an NC30 by the end of summer. Let's hope that I can get down to that color. As of right now, I think I'm back to NC40, because of my stupidity of not putting on SPF.

So let's do a review of my SPF sunscreen Spray! So I picked this up in May when I went hiking with my friend. I had only used it that one time when we went hiking, and then I used it again when I went to the beach. I did not put sunscreen on my face, because I don't want my face to feel disgusting and sticky. But I did put the spray on my arms, legs, and back. I believe this sunscreen cost a little less than $7 at a grocery store. I'm not crazy about putting sunscreen anywhere on myself, since I usually don't leave my car, or my house that much anyway. I'm usually in a room, or my car, so I don't see the point of going outside as much.

Topcare Sunscreen:
Ingredients, ETC:

Unfortunately for me, this weekend was brutal, seeing as how I was in the sun on Friday for 6 hours continually. And then on Sunday I was in the sun for 4 hours. I actually found out that in my car, I had been carrying my sunscreen that is in lotion formula. I think I'm going to use that more often now. Most of my makeup has SPF in it anyway, so I think that's a good sign that at least when I wear makeup, I don't have to worry about applying a layer of sunscreen beneath, or above.

I'm not sure if I would purchase this sunscreen again, because my friend had trouble applying it on herself and myself, she kept pressing down on it, and I told her that she had to press at the very back, but she kept putting her finger near the front. At least when applied it has a cooling affect.

BornPrettyStore Blush!

Hey everyone! I know it's been a long time since my last official post, and I've been really busy since the last time I wrote on here, since March? Anyway, I just want to let everyone know, that I do have a lot of good news, and some bad news.

Bad news first, so I haven't been buying that much makeup lately. I just kind of stopped, because my makeup collection is already huge as it is, and I don't feel the need to purchase a ton of makeup anymore.

The good news? Well I've been buying more clothes lately, and I've been taking a lot of pictures with my new Panasonic Lumix GF-2. I recently bought the new camera, because my small sony point and shoot, had a little bit of water damage. It didn't affect the way the pictures were taken, but the screen, was bubbly. So I decided to splurge and get myself a new camera.

So let's get started shall we? So the first thing I want to talk to everyone about is bornprettystore.com! They sell a lot of nail art items, as well as makeup! I've done a review about them before, and I loved their products a lot, so I decided to do a post as opposed to the video I did last time for them.

I got a blush, and it's a pretty orange pink toned blush! This blush is in #016.
I love that they put the expiration date on their products, so you can see when you need to throw your cosmetics away.
 The blush is Korean.
 The ingredients in the blush.
What it looks like when swatched.
Look at how bright this blush is, it turned my brush into a bright orange color!

I love this blush! This is my first orange toned blush, and it looks amazing. Just a fair warning, when applying really bright blushes, you should always use a light hand, and then build up the intensity slowly.

So that's it for my quick review of this amazing blush. I'm probably going to be doing a look with this blush soon, so stayed tuned for that!

FTC: Product was sent to me for review purposes by a PR representative of the company.  All reviews are based on my honest opinion.  I was not paid to do this post nor am I affiliated with the company.

CCO Haul!

Hi everyone! So this past weekend, I went to the CCO to check out some MAC eyeshadows, because I only have a couple of them, and I really wanted some more! So here are some pictures of what I picked up:
 Cut to fit.
 Night manoeuves.
 Meet the Fleet.
Sorcery
and Chamomile. (Not sure what happened to the lighting in this picture.)
And I also picked up a pigment in Universal Mix. I don't understand why this pigment gets such a bad rap on MUA. I really loved the color! I think it's perfect for highlighting, and for the inner corner of your eyes.

Here are the swatches from left to right: Cut to fit, Night Manoeuvres, Meet the fleet, Sorcery, Chamomile, and universal mix.
This is me trying to get a better picture of universal mix. Haha, fail!
And this week, I got my package from Kathy! I bought the MAC venomous villains mineralized eyeshadows from her! Thanks for the MAC eyeshadows Kathy! And thanks for the extras! I will be sending you something real soon! :)
Left to right: She who dares, my dark magic.
Look how big these eyeshadows are compared to regular mineralized eyeshadows! Left to right: She who dares, Gilt by Association.
This is how they look when swatched.
I decided that I wouldn't spend any more money on makeup until IMATS. This will help me save up money for buying makeup at IMATS. I've always wanted to try the OCC lip tars, so this year, I'm going to go to IMATS, and purchase a lot of makeup! Haha. Anyone wants to try this makeup ban with me? :)

2010 Beauty Favorites!

Hi everyone! I was tagged by Stephanie of Beauty and Gardens to do this 2010 beauty favorites! Check out her blog! She is amazing! :)

1-Which lipstick/ lipgloss did you use most often in 2010?
MAC's viva glam lady gaga lipstick! I find that the color is great, and it's not too bright on my lips!

2-What was your favorite eyeshadow this year?
I didn't have a favorite eyeshadow, but I did have a favorite palette! That would be my Alice in wonderland by Urban decay palette! I felt like this palette has a lot of great colors, that I can use everyday!

3-What product for the complexion (foundation, blush, etc.,) did you use the most?
I used my ELF blush/bronzer combo a lot. I also used MAC's nuance blush, and my photoready foundation. I love photoready, because it made my face look perfect in pictures!

4-Your favorite nail polish color of 2010?
I loved anything China Glaze this year! I have like 8 bottles of these polishes now, thanks to lindah who first introduced me to them!

5-Which skin care product would you not give up under any circumstances?
My Aveeno lotion! It mositurizes my face, all day long!

6-What is your favorite personal care product?
My ELF makeup cleansing clothes! These are amazing for taking off any makeup! I also really loved Equate makeup remover!

7-Your usually worn fragrance in 2010?
I don't really wear perfume, but when I do, I usually go for my white cherry blossom, by Bath and Body works.

8-What was your personal favorite jewelry piece?
My connector rings! I have 4 pairs of them! They are super cool to wear! And I feel like they give a touch of edge to my outfits!
9-What have you discovered in 2010 that is new for you (new products, inspirations, blogs, hobbies, etc.,)?
I discovered that I didn't need to buy so much makeup, I have enough makeup to last me a lifetime!
I discovered that I love reading product reviews on MUA, because other people's opinions really do help me to pick up products. And if their opinions of it are good, I will most likely pick it up! But if they end up being bad, I won't purchase it.

10-Do you have resolutions for 2011? If so, what are they?
To hit pan on some of my makeup.
To be nicer to my boyfriend. He always says I'm mean to him. Haha.
To exercise more! I don't exercise enough!
To stop eating so much junk food! Like Jack in the box, and McDonalds.
To try to blog/vlog more!

I'm going to tag:
Kalmo
Serenie
Edna
Iyah
Ahleessa
Stephanie

And if anyone else wants to do this tag, feel free to! And if you do, please let me know in the comments below! :)
Have a great weekend everyone!

P.S. I've decided to keep the Hello Kitty brush set. I think it looks cute, even though the brushes aren't that great. But I'm just going to keep it a collector's item! :)

Hello Kitty brush set from Sephora

Hi everyone! So I went to the mall today, to see if Sephora had the Hello Kitty collection, and they had it. But it seemed as if they didn't have everything. I really wanted to get the eyeliner pencils, but they didn't have them at my local Sephora. So instead, I splurged and bought the Hello Kitty brush set. I must say, it is rather disappointing. I honestly thought the brushes would be softer than my sigma brushes, or even my ELF brushes, but they aren't. And the fact that the hairs look like they are everywhere is very disappointing as well. I'm not sure if I want to return this, and get a refund, or keep it. It does look like a nice accessory on my makeup counter.
$49 at Sephora.com

What do you think? Should I keep it, or return it?

(By the way, sorry about the crappy lighting, still trying to get used to my light box!)

MAC peacocky haul!

Hey everyone! So today, I went to my local nordstrom counter, and picked up 2 items from the MAC peacocky collection! There wasn't that many products that interested me, seeing as how for this collection, the only items that were launched were lip products, and eyeshadows. I had seen swatches on temptalia.com, and I was super tempted to pick up a kissable lipcolour. They just look very nice!
So I picked up one kissable lipcolour in so vain! It's a very pretty looking coral like color! I'm in love with this color! I'm thinking about picking up woo me! They just look amazing, when applied on my lips. Sorry, the picture is blurry, I couldn't take the picture without it being blurry!
What it looks like on my lips! It's such a gorgeous coral shade! :)
I also picked up one eyeshadow, and it's a brown eyeshadow, called centre stage. I had originally went to pick up sexpectations, but it just didn't look as appealing to me, as this color looked! There was another color, Peek at you, and I thought it looked nice, but I wanted to try this shadow out before I bought any more.
This is what the shadow looks like. Sorry there are no swatches, I haven't had time to play with this shadow yet! But I will let you guys know, what I think about it, after I play with it!
And that is all for my MAC peacocky haul! I have to admit the lipcolour is amazing! I am really loving it! The next thing I have to do, is test it out, and see if it lasts for a while. Usually when I apply lipsticks or whatever to my lips, it rubs off in half an hour, give or take. So I'm really hoping that this lipcolour will last just a little bit longer!

Did you pick up anything from the peacocky collection? What do you want to pick up from this collection?

HAPPY NEW YEARS! And CVS 50-75% off HAUL!

Hi everyone! I just want to let you guys know, that my gift card giveaway is closed! I have most of the entries in a speedsheet already. Except for those last minute entries. Those will get added later today. And I'm going to be picking a winner by this weekend! :)

Anyway, so in case you guys weren't aware, CVS is having their semi annual 50-75% off sale! I picked up a ton of stuff for way cheaper than what the original price was! I'm so excited to try all these items! I'm going to be giving away a couple of these items, because I already have some of them! So watch out for that!

I got a lot of good Revlon products for less than 5 dollars each! By the way, Lilac Pastelle is on sale too, even though it doesn't have a sticker! So if you guys have a chance, please check that out!
I got 2 loreal pigments and a gel liner in brown!
Rimmel is really good too! Most of the Rimmel london items were around $1.07 to $1.70! Great deal!
I only picked up 2 items by maybelline, because theirs was 50% off. Still a good deal, but would be better if it were 75% off!
And I got this Revlon powder for super cheap as well!
By the way, the cosmetics on sale won't be in a special place, they will be the regular makeup section! You just have to go and search. Most likely they will have signs where the big items are marked down! I wanted to take pictures of where the signs were, but there was a lady and she was putting stickers on items, and I didn't want her to think I was weird or whatever. I'm going to be doing reviews or tutorials with a majority of the items that I picked up!

If any of you girls went to CVS and bought some of their sale items, please let me know!

I want to wish everyone a happy new years! And hope we get off to a better year than last year! :)

New nail colors!

Hi everyone! If you know me, you know, I love painting my nails! I love painting them different colors every once in a while! And I don't like paying a lot for nail polish. The most I will pay is $10 for a nail polish. That doesn't mean that once in a while, I won't try to get a high end polish. I love trying and experimenting with new colors!

The one I tried is going to be Revlon's Perplex. It's a gorgeous purple nail polish! It is an identical to Chanel's Paradoxal. I personally don't own Chanel's high end nail polish, but I'm thinking about picking it up, and trying to compare the two of them! But until then, here are some pictures of perplex.

Basically this is two coats, with no top coat. I was being lazy and I didn't want to put a top coat on my nails. Haha.
The next color, I picked up was Stormy. The reason why I picked up this color was because CVS was having a BOGO 50% off. So I had to pick up another color!
This is such an amazing brown taupe like color! I'm totally in love with this color! I really love it!
So I recently got a package from bornprettystore.com! I have already done a video which I show how to use one of the items, and I kind of go over everything very quickly. I will be putting that video on my blog as soon as I upload it!
And last but not least, here is Pikachu! The little bird in our house! She likes to sit on my bed, and just stare at me!
I'm working on cooking up some super yummy holiday recipes! I went to Trader Joe's today and I picked up some small things! I'm going to be cooking up some really good stuff! So stayed tuned for holiday recipes!

Don't forget to enter my $50 gift card giveaway!
