Leighton Meester Inspired look!

Hey everyone! So two posts within a week??!! OMG, isn't that shocking? Haha. Well today, I had a club meeting, so that was interesting. After that I came home, took a quick shower, and decided that I would try to do this quick video.

But before we get to this video, I want to mention to everyone that Pop Champagne is having a contest, and that's the reason why I did this video. Click on the picture below to check out her contest!
These are some pictures I took after I did the makeup tutorial:

And the video:

By the way, not sure if everyone knows this, but there is going to be an event happening in LA this weekend, on Saturday, and it's called Kollaboration. Not sure if I posted about this already. I probably did, but I'm going with my boyfriend, and it's going to be awesome! Tickets are still on sale, I believe, so check it out!

If anyone wants to, please check out my friend's blog! She loves fashion, and makeup, and she's new to blogger! :)

Megan Fox Curly Hair Tutorial!

Hi everyone! I did the Megan Fox inspired Curly Hair Tutorial! Please check it out below!

Sorry this post is so short! I've been very busy with school lately. I've been elected president of my pharmacy technician club, so I'm going to be extremely busy! I haven't forgotten about the giveaway! I'm still planning on doing it real soon! I have to go to the mall next week and pick up a lot more goodies for you guys! :D

And I'm really sorry that I haven't been commenting as much as usual, but it's because I've been extremely busy, and I do read everyone's blog, but I don't have a lot of time, so therefore I don't comment everyone's blog. I will be back on track by the end of March! :)

Short update, Smokey eye tutorial

Hi everyone! I haven't been doing much, I've just been going to school, and working the last couple of days. My manager at work, is no longer there for some strange reason. Oh well. Anyway, so since my manager hasn't been there, we had an assistant manager there, who I worked with just this past summer, and he's really great.

And he's actually given me a couple more work days, so I might not be able to post as much as I've been doing in the past couple of weeks. But I want to let everyone know that I'm still much in love with makeup and fashion.

Anyway, Here is a picture of how I did my makeup today! It's just a really simple smoky eye look/megan fox inspired look that I did. I got a little bit of eyeshadow on my face, can you see where it's at? Lol.

And I'm still recording on my old camera because my new one has not come in yet! I'm hoping that it will come in before this weekend, because I'm actually going to be doing a lot of stuff this weekend, and I want to share it with you guys! :D

By the way, I've switched channels on youtube. My new channel is going to be here, while my old one is going to be my personal vlog channel. These two channels will both be linked on my sidebar so that way you guys can still check it out, and watch both channels!

And by the way, I just want to let everyone know, I got the Revlon Photo Ready foundation! I'm wearing it in the video and in my pictures! It's a pretty good foundation. I've already done a review on it via video, but I'm not sure I'm going to upload it because I'm still using my old camera, and I want to get my new one in, so I can show you guys what it really looks like. And my old camera still blurs in and out of focus!

And don't forget that the Formspring is still on the sidebar, so please feel free to ask me anything!

Have a great weekend!
XO

Maybelline Eyestudio application

Hey everyone! Just want to let everyone know that my new line from Miss Comfortology, "Let them eat Cake" just launched right now! So please check it out: MissComfortology. Basically every item there is under $5 dollars! Which is good because I'm actually going to launch this line on Etsy come Monday. SHHHH! Just don't tell anyone at Etsy! :)

Still raining over here in Southern California, and I'm actually doing a lot better! I want to thank everyone who wished me well! Thank you! :)

Trina asked me to do swatches of the Maybelline palette so I decided to show you guys what it looks like when swatched!

Sapphire Siren:
Pink Persuasion:
Give me gold:
& Copper Chic:
I haven't opened the last two palettes yet. I still have Sunset Seduction and the purple one (Oh geez, I can't even remember the name of it) as well.

And I found a look for these palettes! It looks like this:
Up close picture of what it looks like when applied to eyes:
Two eyes:
I have to say, I'm really loving these palettes. They are so easy to apply. The only thing that sucks is the applicators that come with the palette. The sponge tip pulls off after a while. Which is annoying, but I just put a little bit of super glue on the wand, and it's fixed.

And since it's been raining like freaking crazy over here, I don't have good lighting to take pictures with. Which is a total bummer, hopefully next week the rain will let up, and I will be able to take better pictures of makeup. I actually did a look with give me gold, and pink persuasion, but it didn't come out so great because of the dark lighting.

I'm still counting down for my package to come in soon! My cousin said she put a ton of makeup items for me to try out, so I'm super excited. And I'm getting something special from my Auntie! :D

Long lashes, Coffret D'or, and Pa nail polish!

Hi everyone! I know I said I was going to post about the vintage belts, that I stole from my mom, but I didn't like any of the pictures that I took with the belts. :( So I will try to do that one tomorrow! Sorry, if you were excited for my fashion post. Anyway, so today, I tried to make my lashes super long with mascara and black eyeliner.

1. I curl my eyelashes first.
2. Then what I do is I prime my eyelashes up with smashbox mascara primer.
3. Then I place my top coat of smashbox mascara on. A couple of swipes of mascara will be fine. I try to layer it on, so that way, the mascara will make my lashes look longer.
4. After that I place a clear coat of mascara with my Sephora Piink mascara. (For some reason, they don't sell this product at Sephora anymore??! They use to have a lot of their products, but not anymore)

Sometimes I use this trick on my lower lashes, I put an index card up to my lashes and I put the mascara on that way, you can see the mascara and what you are doing to it. My skin tone is dark, so I can't really see what progess I'm getting at, without an index card.

Lipgloss used: Philosophy in Kiss me.

And then your done! I don't have any pictures of the products I've used, because I'm lazy! Haha. I'm also thinking about doing a video with this look, because it's really helpful for people who want really long lashes. So should I? Haha.

So earlier today, (since it's already 4 in the morning) my parents decided to go to Rowling heights to get my brother's teeth fixed up. He recently got his wisdom teeth pulled out last week (ouch!) and I guess the dentist sewed up the back of his mouth, so that way the wound would heal correctly. When we were heading there, we hit so much traffic it was horrible! We drove past, and I think some people got into a car accident. My dad was all like, "Look at all those kids! Their the ones who are wreaking cars!" And I just sat in the back with my mp3 player in my ears. Haha.

Anyway so this is a picture of my parents in the front of the car.
The dentist's office. It's super nice and clean in there. Even though I hate going to the dentist!
After the dentist, we went to go eat at this little food court. And the place we were eating at didn't have any water, so I went across the food court and picked up some mango green tea! YUMMY! (Even though afterwards, I was regretting drinking so much tea, I had to go pee like 5 times at work!)
Before we actually started eating, I went to check out Takashima, it's this little store run by Chinese people. They were all super nice and sweet! The sales people were all very friendly, and at the end they even gave me a VIP card!
I picked up a Coffret D'or eyeshadow palette, in 05.
And some Pa nail polish! Because I love their nail polish! This one is glittery with circles!
There is no pictures of food, because as soon as the food came, everyone was eating like maniacs, except for my dad. He's a slow eater, but my mom, brother and me were eating like there was no tomorrow! Haha. Until next time, probably later today!

Marc Jacobs 2 + Mihoko Family Party Look Request

Anyway, I got my Marc Jacobs stuff in today, again! I know, it's a lot of stuff, but I love it!!!

This is the Marc Jacobs Jeans. Back view! It has M on the back pockets. I think it would look cuter if one pocket had M and J on it. Don't you think?
I also got this pretty pale pink top in today! It's very pale, it almost looks white, but I love this top! Sorry, this picture is kind of blurry. I don't know what happened. Haha. By the way the jeans are a little high rise, which makes them kind of like riding jeans?? And I'm wearing my boots in the pictures!!!
This skirt is kind of Blair Waldorf don't you think? I think it's very cute and chic! This is the backview of it.
Front view of the skirt. The awesome thing about this skirt is that it came with a belt, and you can remove it! :)
Suspender shorts! OMG, these are super cute! I'm in love with menswear for women, so I think this is one of the most adorable things I bought from gilt.com!
And this is the other dress I purchased! It has this Asian feel about it. It has beautiful gold circles all around it, and it's a dark blue shade. And I also got something else in the mail today! My smashbox lip exfoliant! It has a nice peppermint smell to it! The writing on the tube is very light, because it's white. I think they should package it to be black, oh well!
Anyway onto Mihoko Family Party Look Request! Sorry Mihoko if I'm combining two posts into one!

This is the makeup that I used! (Left to right, top to bottom) Sephora eye primer, too faced eyeshadows, eyemakeup remover to make corrections, clinique powder foundation, smashbox primer, VS beauty rush lipgloss, VS beauty rush eyeshadows in various colors, Milani blush, and various brushes and q-tips!
A close up on the VS items: lip gloss in bubbleminty, eyeshadow in bronze medal, going green, and true blue.
My too faced eyeshadow: Colors that I used: Ooh & Ahh in Black glitter, Ooh & Ahh in Silver, and Exclusive in black.
My face naked without any makeup! Ok so this is the first look that I wanted to do. I call it Tropical Fairy! I used the VS eyeshadows, and the too faced in Ooh & Ahh in Silver. (By the way I always always always put on primer and eye primer on before I put on my makeup! I don't show myself putting on this stuff, because it's kind of boring, and because my primers are mostly skin colored or clear. And another thing, I don't usually wear mascara because I wear contact lenses and it bothers my eyes!)

First thing I do, is apply the VS shadow in true blue to my eyelid.
Second color I apply above the true blue is VS's going green.
After applying the VS shadows, I apply the Too Faced shadow in Ooh & Aah in Silver! After that, I apply a little bit of VS's bronze medal to the bottom of my eyelid. This is the final touch of making my tropical fairy look complete. :)This is one eye completed! Eye closed.
Eye open.
A close up of what the shadows look like on my eyes! TADA! The final ending result! I really love this look, because it makes me look a little like a fairy, but a tropical fairy. Does that make any sense? Haha. Nevermind, don't answer that!
This is the second look I did. I love this look and I call it my Vixen look, by the way, this is the night time look! The other one, tropical fairy is the daytime look. Haha, I don't think I mentioned it!
The first thing I did was to apply my Too Faced eyeshadow in Exclusive black. Just a medium sized layer on the eyelid.
The second thing I'm going to do is apply Too Faced shadow in Ooh & Aah in Black Glitter. I'm using a smaller brush to curve out my design. This is the way to get the ultimate vixen look! Now I'm using a little bit of makeup remover, so I can clean it up a little bit! Now this is what I have so far! I take my Sephora eyeliner pencil and draw a thin line on the bottom of my eyelid to get the final touch on this look. TADA! This is the final look I have done!
A couple more snapshots of what the final look actually looks like with all my makeup on. I put on blush, and powder foundation! :)
Another pix of me, similar to the on at the start of this night time look! :)

So this is the first time I have ever done a makeup tutorial! I hope you all enjoyed it! I only use certain eyeshadows! Hope you guys don't mind! You can pick up the Too Faced eyeshadow palette at Sephora.com, just look up Too Faced, and it should be there! :) Thank you for reading!

The question that Mihoko asks on facebook for this request is: why do you think the color you used, or the look you create is great for this occasion?

Answer: Well I think these looks are simple, and beautiful at the same time, even if you don't have the same colors as I have, you can still achieve these looks. I honestly love the tropical fairy look, because it's feels so fresh and clean. I don't like a lot of heavy makeup during the day because I don't see the point in wearing heavy makeup, so this look is perfect for someone on the go, who doesn't really want to spend a lot of time on their makeup. I think that one look took me about 5 minutes or so to apply. And the Vixen look is simply, and it doesn't require you to pull out 20 items from your makeup bag to achieve it.
