Outfit of the Day

So I think doing Outfits of the Day (OOTD) is easier on my blog, than on youtube. Because on youtube, I always have to edit the videos, so I think that if I do them one by one, on my blog it's easier, because all I have to do, is take a picture. I want to thank Jessica for this top. She meant to give it to me last year, but she misplaced it, so she gave it to me this year, as a late birthday present. :)

Top: Juicy Couture, Hat and Jeans: Forever21, Cardigan: H&M, Shoes: Charlotte Russe.
I took this picture to give you a better look at the pleating on this top.
I don't know why, but my legs always look so short. Next week, I will have better outfit of the day pictures. I've enlisted my brother to help me take pictures! So stayed tuned for that!

Outfits Of The Day!

So I'm finally kind of back! Haha, I don't really know what happened, except that I got really really busy after April, and then my schedule just got packed! But if you don't already, please subscribe to my youtube channel. I usually check my youtube channel more than my blog! But I'm trying to get back into the habit, of commenting, and looking at people's blogs! :)

Anyway, so today, I have outfits of the day for you girls out there, who like fashion! Recently, I've been buying a lot of new clothes, more than makeup. I haven't been buying makeup as much often, because number one, it gets expensive, and usually there's not a sale on makeup, unless you go to the CCO, but enough of that. Since summer is here, there has been a lot of good sales, and stores are trying to get rid of their winter clothes!

So some of these are new pieces that I've purchased over the last couple of months. I really started buying more clothes in March. So this is just a random post about some of my favorite pieces right now.

Regular days, I like to wear simple clothes: Plaid shirt from Abercrombie & Fitch, White tank top: Forever21, Shorts: Cotton on, Shoes: Steve Madden.
Other days, I feel a little more preppy, and try to dress cute: Blazer, Shirt and Shoes: Cotton on, Skirt: Forever21, Tights: Nordstrom.
And other days, when I want to be a little more formal, I like to dress it up: Dress: Forever21, Blazer: Cotton on, Shoes: Mix #6.
That's all for now. I will update with more OOTD, as soon as I whip my camera out again! Toodles! :)

Yay for updates! :)

I know my posts of lately have been a little boring, but I'm going to change all that! Haha. So I'm not going to spend any more money until my next paycheck which is going to be in August! UGH! I know it sucks, but I pretty much don't have any more money!

Anyway, I'm been busy hanging out with my boyfriend all the time now. And working. But the good thing is that I have today off from work. Which is kind of weird, because it's in the middle of the week, and I usually get weekends off. Oh well. Haha.

So I got my shirt from Kym, yesterday! Thank you Kym! It says fluent in Engrish on it! And it's super adorable! I love it a lot!
She also included some very yummy candies! I ate one of the orange ones already! So yummy! :)
By the way when I went to the mall on Friday, I picked up a new primer pen, because I lost my other primer pen. :(
And these are the swatches of the Mac shadows I purchased, because someone requested that I do swatches!

Phloof, woodwinked, and sumptuous olive!
And for my birthday, I received a gift card from Janet and Ruben to Old Navy, and I bought my boyfriend a black dress shirt (because he doesn't have any) And I also got this mint lemonade lip balm! It tastes delicious! :)
And I've been looking for a new job recently, because my job wants me to work Friday nights graveyard till October, and that's a big NO-NO for me, because school is starting in three weeks, and I already explained to my manager that I need to study, but he is being stubborn, and trying to force me to work Friday nights. So I'm on the look out for a new job. I hate job hunting, because number 1, it's hard nowadays, number 2, I don't know if I'm going to like the job I get, and number 3, because it's a pain! But it's alright, I'm looking for jobs that don't require me to have to work late into the night.

And my job right now, drastically cut my hours this week, so I don't work today, tomorrow, and Thursday. I think they are planning on getting rid of me soon, which is also a reason why I've been trying to find a new job.

KATE EYESHADOWS!

I've been buying a lot of stuff left and right. I think if my boyfriend found out that I was buying so much stuff, I think he would get very mad at me. Haha. But it's okay, since it's my money that I'm spending and not his. Anyway, today was the gilt women's final sale. I woke up around 9AM to look at it, and everything was alright. I didn't see anything that really caught my eye. I was looking at twenty8twelve, but everything that was really pretty and nice was already taken! So sad! :(

So yesterday I decided to play dress up with my Marc Jacobs clothes that I got in last week. I love big belts, so of course I was trying some of my clothes with different items!
So today, I got my Kate gel eyeshadows in! They are so pretty! I don't want to touch them, or mess them up. OH well, I used them anyway! Haha! I purchased these off ebay, since they are cheaper on there, than any other place I've looked at them for. The place that I purchased them, said that they won't be getting in a shipment of these eyeshadows for another 2 weeks, but feel free to check them out anyway, here! :) And since they are located in California the shipping only took two days! So happy!

When the package came in, I just got home from work, so I simply ripped it open! This is what it looked like after I ripped open the packaging!
A picture of all the shadows that I purchased. Yes, that is Hello kitty on my screen. She is my icon! :)Me holding PU-1. Purple. The shades from left to right: PU-1, GY-1, BR-1, BG-1, GD-1, BR-2. The BR-1, and BR-2 look very alike. I can't even tell them apart. I thought that maybe one would be really dark, and the other one really light. So if your looking to purchase brown, just pick one or the other. I don't think it really matters. The shadows really really feel like jell-o! It's very crazy, because it's kind of hard to get them on the applicator, and I was trying very hard! The swatches from left to right: PU-1, GY-1, BR-1, BG-1, GD-1, BR-2. Without flashSwatches with flash. This is a picture of my eye, what it looked like with the colors, GY-1, BR-1, and GD-1 on it. I applied the GY-1 first, then I added a bit of BR-1 to the end of my upper eyeline, and then I applied GD-1 to the bottom my my eye. It makes my eyelashes shimmery too. :)
My eye open, so you can see the gold on my bottom eyelid.
What I look like with my makeup on. Well just the eyeshadows, and my lipgloss. I look so orange! That's because I took this picture in my bathroom, my room doesn't get good lighting, because I have this curtain, and I'm lazy to open it. Haha. My lips in my new lipgloss. Forgot to mention that I got a new lipgloss! Read on to find out what kind it is...
I got this Mac hello kitty lipgloss and a Mac eyeliner pencil in yesterday! It's because my Sephora Piink eyeliner is running out, and it was the best eyeliner I've ever had. :( I haven't had a chance to try this eyeliner out. It's way too pretty for me to mess with it!
It's in the color engraved. Which is like black.
My hello kitty lip gloss, in nice to be nice.
Hello kitty love!
I was digging around my mom's closet today, looking for old retro things to wear. She had some super cute belts, that I will be posting pictures up probably tomorrow! Some of them are very unique. She has this awesome blue snake skin belt! And I remember seeing it as a child. I think I glued some glitter on it at some point. But that's the point of having vintage things. Haha.

Yesterday, I purchased a bunch of pop beauty items and they should be coming in sometime next week?? Haha. And I will do my Jill Stuart jelly shadow compare, probably sometime next week, because the shadow hasn't shipped in yet. XP Anyway, hope you guys have an awesome day, and I will posting more stuff that I purchased soon!

Marc Jacobs 2 + Mihoko Family Party Look Request

Anyway, I got my Marc Jacobs stuff in today, again! I know, it's a lot of stuff, but I love it!!!

This is the Marc Jacobs Jeans. Back view! It has M on the back pockets. I think it would look cuter if one pocket had M and J on it. Don't you think?
I also got this pretty pale pink top in today! It's very pale, it almost looks white, but I love this top! Sorry, this picture is kind of blurry. I don't know what happened. Haha. By the way the jeans are a little high rise, which makes them kind of like riding jeans?? And I'm wearing my boots in the pictures!!!
This skirt is kind of Blair Waldorf don't you think? I think it's very cute and chic! This is the backview of it.
Front view of the skirt. The awesome thing about this skirt is that it came with a belt, and you can remove it! :)
Suspender shorts! OMG, these are super cute! I'm in love with menswear for women, so I think this is one of the most adorable things I bought from gilt.com!
And this is the other dress I purchased! It has this Asian feel about it. It has beautiful gold circles all around it, and it's a dark blue shade. And I also got something else in the mail today! My smashbox lip exfoliant! It has a nice peppermint smell to it! The writing on the tube is very light, because it's white. I think they should package it to be black, oh well!
Anyway onto Mihoko Family Party Look Request! Sorry Mihoko if I'm combining two posts into one!

This is the makeup that I used! (Left to right, top to bottom) Sephora eye primer, too faced eyeshadows, eyemakeup remover to make corrections, clinique powder foundation, smashbox primer, VS beauty rush lipgloss, VS beauty rush eyeshadows in various colors, Milani blush, and various brushes and q-tips!
A close up on the VS items: lip gloss in bubbleminty, eyeshadow in bronze medal, going green, and true blue.
My too faced eyeshadow: Colors that I used: Ooh & Ahh in Black glitter, Ooh & Ahh in Silver, and Exclusive in black.
My face naked without any makeup! Ok so this is the first look that I wanted to do. I call it Tropical Fairy! I used the VS eyeshadows, and the too faced in Ooh & Ahh in Silver. (By the way I always always always put on primer and eye primer on before I put on my makeup! I don't show myself putting on this stuff, because it's kind of boring, and because my primers are mostly skin colored or clear. And another thing, I don't usually wear mascara because I wear contact lenses and it bothers my eyes!)

First thing I do, is apply the VS shadow in true blue to my eyelid.
Second color I apply above the true blue is VS's going green.
After applying the VS shadows, I apply the Too Faced shadow in Ooh & Aah in Silver! After that, I apply a little bit of VS's bronze medal to the bottom of my eyelid. This is the final touch of making my tropical fairy look complete. :)This is one eye completed! Eye closed.
Eye open.
A close up of what the shadows look like on my eyes! TADA! The final ending result! I really love this look, because it makes me look a little like a fairy, but a tropical fairy. Does that make any sense? Haha. Nevermind, don't answer that!
This is the second look I did. I love this look and I call it my Vixen look, by the way, this is the night time look! The other one, tropical fairy is the daytime look. Haha, I don't think I mentioned it!
The first thing I did was to apply my Too Faced eyeshadow in Exclusive black. Just a medium sized layer on the eyelid.
The second thing I'm going to do is apply Too Faced shadow in Ooh & Aah in Black Glitter. I'm using a smaller brush to curve out my design. This is the way to get the ultimate vixen look! Now I'm using a little bit of makeup remover, so I can clean it up a little bit! Now this is what I have so far! I take my Sephora eyeliner pencil and draw a thin line on the bottom of my eyelid to get the final touch on this look. TADA! This is the final look I have done!
A couple more snapshots of what the final look actually looks like with all my makeup on. I put on blush, and powder foundation! :)
Another pix of me, similar to the on at the start of this night time look! :)

So this is the first time I have ever done a makeup tutorial! I hope you all enjoyed it! I only use certain eyeshadows! Hope you guys don't mind! You can pick up the Too Faced eyeshadow palette at Sephora.com, just look up Too Faced, and it should be there! :) Thank you for reading!

The question that Mihoko asks on facebook for this request is: why do you think the color you used, or the look you create is great for this occasion?

Answer: Well I think these looks are simple, and beautiful at the same time, even if you don't have the same colors as I have, you can still achieve these looks. I honestly love the tropical fairy look, because it's feels so fresh and clean. I don't like a lot of heavy makeup during the day because I don't see the point in wearing heavy makeup, so this look is perfect for someone on the go, who doesn't really want to spend a lot of time on their makeup. I think that one look took me about 5 minutes or so to apply. And the Vixen look is simply, and it doesn't require you to pull out 20 items from your makeup bag to achieve it.
