Distressed jeans

Forever21 jeans, Izod white polo shirt, Ralph Lauren Jean shirt, Vintage shoes.

So it seems like it's harder than it looks for my brother to take pictures of me. Majority of the pictures came out blurry, or slightly off. With me closing my eyes or whatever. These were the pictures that made the cut. And you can't see my face, which is fine by me. I distressed the jeans myself, which I think add a little bit of edge to the jeans. If you are wondering how I distressed them, check out Wendy'sLookBook via Youtube She has a video on how to distress your jeans. By the way, she's my new favorite guru, I think she's just amazing! Check her out!

More armswag and other stuff

Just a little recap of my week in picture format. I'm going to be posting more fashion related posts after this weekend, I have to edit pictures, and make sure they come out okay. By the way, I love dessert, and the hunger games. I actually watched the movie the weekend it came out, but I just recently just finished the first book, can't wait to read book 2 and book 3.

Thank you to everyone who commented on my last post, I'm going to try to post more.

#Armswag

Hey everyone! So in case any of you guys were curious what armswag is, its a way of saying you have a lot of arm jewelry. I personally love checking out pictures of people with arm swag on Instagram. (by the way if any of you guys want to follow me on Instagram my username is denysiayu) It's kind of one of those addicting things. This is my arm swag of the week!

Classic Rolex, gold studded bracelet from forever21 and thin brown leather bracelet from a jewelry exhibit.

How guys should dress

So I was looking over an old GQ magazine that I had and guess who I found? I wish guys would dress like this. It would definitely make life more exciting!

DIY Bubble Skirt

So I'm kind of known as a DIY girl, but I've never thought of documenting what I've done. Because one, I'm lazy, and taking so many pictures can get annoying. So when I saw this bubble skirt, I thought to myself, I can probably just make that myself! I had seen a different picture of a similar skirt on one of the Olsen twins, though which one I cannot seem to remember. The Olsen picture was what got me inspired to DIY my own skirt. I had this James Perse skirt from when I worked at Nordstrom, and I always found it a pain to have to iron the bottom of the skirt, because it would always get wrinkled so easily.

What I was working with. If you can't tell, I ironed out the bottom of the skirt, but it's still wrinkled, hence why I rarely wore this skirt:
 James Perse.
So first up you want to pin the bottom of the skirt to the top of the skirt. I pinned the bottom very close to the top of the skirt:
There is thin fabric underneath that's considered the underskirt, so you want to tuck that in:
I'm tucking it in (Camera strap fail, haha):
 A little more tucking:
Then you want to make little stitches  along the parts where you pinned at:
 Another stitch:
The easiest way to make the stitches, is to match up the sides and the back and the front:
This is what the skirt looks like when it's turned inside out:
 The front:
And voila! You have your own little mini bubble skirt.
I'm hoping this DIY tutorial isn't super confusing. I'm trying out this whole fashion blogging for a bit, and I know a lot of people enjoy reading fashion related posts.

I'm going to be doing an OOTD with this skirt this weekend! Stay tuned for that!

Outfit of the Day

So I think doing Outfits of the Day (OOTD) is easier on my blog, than on youtube. Because on youtube, I always have to edit the videos, so I think that if I do them one by one, on my blog it's easier, because all I have to do, is take a picture. I want to thank Jessica for this top. She meant to give it to me last year, but she misplaced it, so she gave it to me this year, as a late birthday present. :)

Top: Juicy Couture, Hat and Jeans: Forever21, Cardigan: H&M, Shoes: Charlotte Russe.
I took this picture to give you a better look at the pleating on this top.
I don't know why, but my legs always look so short. Next week, I will have better outfit of the day pictures. I've enlisted my brother to help me take pictures! So stayed tuned for that!

Outfits Of The Day!

So I'm finally kind of back! Haha, I don't really know what happened, except that I got really really busy after April, and then my schedule just got packed! But if you don't already, please subscribe to my youtube channel. I usually check my youtube channel more than my blog! But I'm trying to get back into the habit, of commenting, and looking at people's blogs! :)

Anyway, so today, I have outfits of the day for you girls out there, who like fashion! Recently, I've been buying a lot of new clothes, more than makeup. I haven't been buying makeup as much often, because number one, it gets expensive, and usually there's not a sale on makeup, unless you go to the CCO, but enough of that. Since summer is here, there has been a lot of good sales, and stores are trying to get rid of their winter clothes!

So some of these are new pieces that I've purchased over the last couple of months. I really started buying more clothes in March. So this is just a random post about some of my favorite pieces right now.

Regular days, I like to wear simple clothes: Plaid shirt from Abercrombie & Fitch, White tank top: Forever21, Shorts: Cotton on, Shoes: Steve Madden.
Other days, I feel a little more preppy, and try to dress cute: Blazer, Shirt and Shoes: Cotton on, Skirt: Forever21, Tights: Nordstrom.
And other days, when I want to be a little more formal, I like to dress it up: Dress: Forever21, Blazer: Cotton on, Shoes: Mix #6.
That's all for now. I will update with more OOTD, as soon as I whip my camera out again! Toodles! :)

Random Monday post

Hi everyone! I'm trying to stay consistent on my blogging! I haven't made a video on youtube for a while, and it's not because I don't want to, it's because every time I record a video, and I start editing, I don't like how everything looks. I don't know, whats wrong with me. Anyway this is going to be a quick recap of what I've been doing recently.

So Friday was black Friday, and I love shopping, so I stopped by my local mall and tried to grab some deals. And this is what the mall looked like around 11:30pm. Right before midnight! There were tons of people waiting for their favorite stores to open. It was madness. Well it was midnight madness.
Then when I was there I picked up a couple things from forever21. I'm going to edit the video of my black Friday haul real soon. The only reason I don't want to edit it is because I don't have any makeup on, because I went to the mall 2 times on Friday. I know, weird huh? The reason why I went back to the mall, was because the lines were so long when I went there at midnight, that I didn't want to stand in 4 or 5 different stores, waiting for a cash register to be open. So I went back to the mall around 10am, and I shopped, until I was sick of the mall.

Anyway, so after I went to the mall the second time, I went to Guess, and I saw these super cute shoes! I wanted to get them, since they were having a 60% off sale, on all sale items. But m y credit card said no! Haha. So I ended up not getting them. But don't they look cute?? They were on sale for $119 but in addition to the 60% off the total would have been $47.60!
And basically this past week, my brother came home, and he has been eating all the food in the house, whenever he feels like, which kind of annoys me. So I've come up with super easy recipes that I can eat. Below, I made a really easy egg salad muffin! Complete with cheese! Unfortunately, we don't have any more English muffins at my house, so I can't make any more of these.

And I've been craving noodles for a while now! So I made some super simple noodles. All you need is noodles, soy sauce, sesame oil, and any other spices you might want to throw in! And that's it! I love making simple food!
So recently the sun has been setting super early! Like around 4:30! It's insane. I don't think the sun set this early last year. I don't know, but it's kind of annoying, because I usually like to go for a walk around 4pm, and this totally disturbs my walking schedule. And since I'm so lazy and I hate getting up early, (Thank goodness, I work in the afternoons) this whole sun setting thing is getting on my nerves! I've asked my boyfriend to get me a visor extender for my scion tC, but all he says, is you don't need it. But now that the sun is setting so early, the sun gets in my eyes and around 3:30pm. So I'm going to bug him, until he gives in.

So on Saturday, my friend and I went to the Thrift store to see if we could get any good deals. I got a couple of items, but I'm just going to show you the items that I really really like! The first item, that I got that I'm really loving, is this sunflower candle. It smells so good, and the sunflower shape is also great!
Sorry if my pictures look blurry. I took a majority of these pictures with my phone. I planned on taking them with my camera, but at the moment, my camera is in my purse, and I'm too lazy to get it! Haha. So the second item, I really like, is this tiny tea cup. If you've ever drunk Chinese tea, you will know that we have small cups. I don't know why that is. But this little cup reminds me of a shot glass. Haha.
The last thing I wanted to show you guys, was this skirt on katespade.com. I was browsing her website, because my mom recently bought a Kate Spade handbag. And I was looking at some of her clearance clothes, and I came upon this adorable skirt! It's such a great skirt, with the ribbon and everything, wouldn't you agree?
I thought this skirt was kind of cute too. I love it when you match bright colored tights to such a neutral outfit.
And that is it for me. I hope everyone had a great thanksgiving, and stuffed themselves till they were too full! Haha, I know I did! :)

Hey everyone!

Hi everyone! So even though it's been fall for a while now, now it's really settling in! I can't wait for the holidays to start up! Thanksgiving and Christmas! And omg, before, I forget, black Friday! Haha.

Anyway, there's nothing new with me. I've just been job hunting the last couple of weeks, or month, however you want to see it. And nothing's really changed.

So anyway, since I haven't done a new fashion blog post in a while, I thought I would do one right now! Since fall is upon us, and the weather is getting colder (even though it hasn't been cold in Southern California as much as it's been hot!) I thought why not?

So the first trend of fall is patchwork: I'm not sure I'm loving the whole patchwork craze, but it does look interesting, and I think if you pair up patchwork with something a little bit sophisticated, you can get something retro, and amazing!
Ponchos: I think ponchos are in this season! The reason being is because you can always dress up a poncho. I think ponchos are like a longer coat with arms on the sides, but they are way more comfortable than a too tight jacket, that you might feel like you will rip out of!
Turtlenecks: Now, I think I can say for the most part of my childhood, my mom had me in turtlenecks a majority of the winter time, and I love how much turtlenecks have evolved over the past couple of years!
Velvet and Velour: I don't really love velvet and velour unless it's on my Juicy Couture purse, but I have to say, having a velvet dress is rather nice, for the holiday season! I wouldn't mind wearing a velvet dress for a Christmas party!
Big pants: Now this is a trend I would probably not catch up to. The reason being is because I'm of average height, 5'5 to be exact, and my body would not suit a look like this. I would never be able to pull off big pants, unless I somehow became 5'10 by tomorrow. But I have to admit these pants do look good on these models.
Capes: Now, this is a trend that I believe started when Blair Waldolf on Gossip Girl wore a cape in a Thanksgiving episode. Not sure which season it is from, but I know it was a Thanksgiving episode. I really love capes, but finding one in Southern California is like hunting for treasure. But I think capes are more suited for people who are located on the East coast.
The next two pictures I have are great ways to style yourself accordingly to the weather! And I have to say, this will be my inspiration for fall clothing, and what I plan on purchasing within the next couple of weeks!
What I wouldn't do to have my boyfriend dress like this! Too bad he likes wearing shorts during the winter time regardless, because in Southern California it doesn't get extremely cold. The coldest we get here is around 60 degrees!
Anyway, so that's all for today's post! I'm hoping to do more beauty related posts very soon, but lately, I haven't been very inspired to do anything really crazy! But please let me know in the comments below, what types of looks you guys are looking for! And please let me know, if you think these trends will last!

Hello Everyone!

Hi everyone! I'm back! School just ended last Thursday, and I was trying to get some R&R before summer started! Anyway, I have a couple things I want to share with everyone! :)

These were some sunglasses that I bought from forever21 a couple weeks ago! I can't seem to find them anymore though, I think I left them at my boyfriend's house.

A cute black Aldo purse that I bought! I love long strapped purses!

This past weekend, there was a LRG (Lifted Research Group) sample sale in Lake Forest, and my boyfriend loves LRG so we had to go check it out. They had a section dedicated to women's clothing, and of course I had see if they had anything good! They only have their sample sale 2 times a year. And the good thing is that they charge per pound. So first you go into the sale section, and they give you a garbage bag, and you can fill it up with as many items as you want. And then afterwards, they weigh it, and then you pay! And the good thing was that we went there on the last day, so of course they lowered the price per pound. It ended up being $10 per pound!

This is one of the blazers I picked up! It's really cute, and looks like a military like blazer!

The tag says Luxirie by LRG!

Their logo.

This jacket was originally $192! And then it got marked down, and marked down, and marked down, until it cost around $5!!!

Their logo again.

This is the bucket on the side pockets.

This is a shirt I picked up. I love their logo! It's so cute!

So I've been trying to cut back on fatty foods, and trying to eat healthy. But sometimes, I can't help it especially since I see bread, and I really want to eat it!

Yummy custard bun!

I got this sandwich from 99 Ranch! It was really yummy! (I ate one grape before I took this picture)

I made my own Flan! It tasted very good.

I also made an avocado shake! It was very good! I'm thinking of making more soon! :D

And my udon noodles!

I'm going to try to post more often! I've been reading a lot of blogs recently, but I haven't had time to comment on everyone's blogs, because I've been really busy with work, and school! But I'm going to try really hard to comment back on everyone! :)
